Good Luck Seafood @ Sungai Rengit

Sungai Rengit 泗湾岛 is essentially a collection of fishing villages in southeastern Johor, it is known for its seafood especially lobsters. It's located 18km away from Pengerang Terminal, Pengerang can be reached from Singapore by boat from Changi Village ferry terminal. The distance is just suitable for Cycling day tours. and therefore you can see groups of cyclist during weekends nowadays. This is my 3rd or 4th cycling trip to Sungai Rengit.

Bum boat (without aircon) is S$11/pax + S$2/bicycle
Bum boat (aircon) price is S$13/pax + S$2/bicycle
Price is quoted in SGD both ways. I got aircon boats both ways. Speed depends on the direction of the tide, it took 30min from SG to Pengerang in the morning, and 45min back in the afternoon.
Lobster was RM18/100g, though I prefer smaller lobsters, yesterday's lobsters size were quite big, about 700g each.

Good Luck Seafood Restaurant 幸运海鲜酒楼
Steamed Lobster (4/5)
 Salted egg Lobster (3.8/5)
Very little salted egg sauce, could not tell the difference between buttered and salted egg lobsters.

Butter Lobster, (3.8/5)
I did not expected a dry version butter lobster, thought there should be butter sauce on it, could not taste butter flavor, but lobster was fresh and good.

We were shocked when seeing the bill, RM412 for 3 lobsters, when we placed order, we asked for 3 small size lobsters about 500g each, but on the bill it stated as 800g each, though the lobsters were indeed big, but was 800g the actual weight? and this was just not as what had been agreed earlier on. very unhappy experience in Good Luck Seafood restaurant. We 've been visiting this restaurant many times because it used to be value for money, and the price became higher and higher every time, and service dropped as well.

Ambiance: 3/5
