The route:
From Causeway link to Johor Bahru;
Turn right to J5, join Jalan Pantai till Bandar Baru;
After Bandar Baru take Jalan Permas Utara towards the North till Jalan Masai Lama;
Join Jalan Masai Lama towards the East;
Continue on J10, follow Signboard towards Kong Kong;
Join E22 (Senai Desaru Expressway) all the way till toll station at the junction with 92 (the toughest 30km in this route, wavy highway with zero shelters nor rest point until toll station);
Turn to 92 then follow 90 to till Desaru beach, (lodging point if ETA to ferry is after 430pm for last boat);
Continue on road 90 (90 is more cyclist-friendly than 92) till Sungai Rengit (rest point);
Cycle along J52 coastal road till Pengelih Terminal, take ferry back to Singapore Changi Ferry Terminal.
